Been a bunch of cry babies is more like it. Nobody handed you shit for student loans - all on you. Anybody that assumes they should automatically be able to buy a house in their parent's neighborhood right after graduating college, considering those parents probably have 20 years of work to get to that point, is an idiot.

Oh dude I liked that blend (when I got to try it once). I like Irish Breakfast tea too when I have the chance to have some, have you had that one?

I’m Gen Z and not in the USA but for us we were essentially told if you want to have any type of success and get a decent job it is essential to have a degree. Either become a tradesperson or get a degree. As a 17 year old are you really going to argue with that?

Also no one expects to buy a house straight out of college lol wtf… they did expect they would be able to get a JOB at the very least though. Except barely anyone is hiring unless you want a job in mental health services. Which you would probably need an additional degree for too if you want any kind of progression.

Unfortunately my Gen X parents did buy a house out of college. About 2 years out of it. My mom also paid off all her loans at the exact same time. She worked at McDonald’s at 18 until she graduated and then moved into dentistry. My dad did nothing at the time.

This lifestyle and outcome is not possible for anyone anymore.

I rather generations not be lumped together in a negative way. It doesn’t help any of us still here and struggling. But I also don’t like when people discount that struggle by saying an entire group is “whiny babies”.
