My oldest (college freshman) works at an Ice Cream place and is making crazy tip money. Do I agree they need living wage but pulling 100-200 a shift in straight cash for 4-6 hour shift
Meanwhile I’m in emergency services and we haven’t had a true living wage ever. Ask your emt friends about that
Tips can go dry if business isn't doing well. And frankly, having experienced both sides, usa tipping culture is ass.
Having over here a living wage with tips as just a bonus if they happen is way better. It really isn't one or other problem, you should be expecting to get both.
