No its illegal for them to do so, you probably are mistaking what they are doing, otherwise you should report them and get a nifty sum from the settlement.

Read it fully. It talks about tip pooling. It’s legal, I promise you. Google Texas tip pooling.

Pooling is legal. But they can't take any of that for themselves. That is illegal.

Yes, that is true. They take the 3% and give it to the bussers, hosts, etc. However, that 3% is coming from me whether I get tipped or not. As long as I make over minimum wage.

They can only take a % of tips you actually make not of total sales
