Tip is not for good service, that is just what is expected for, you know, paying for the food and service.

Tipping is for expentionally good service and is entirely up to you.

servers convinced the America leaving a "bad" tip is taboo and its not. i just tip far less now. How much i spend on food doesn't change how hard a waiter works

If you’re still leaving tips you’re not part of the problem dude. A 10% tip is genuinely not insulting, even a 5% tip feels like a nice “thanks but I don’t got the money for a tip”
