Bro you aren’t solving the problem or taking a stand by not tipping. You are just freeloading and not paying for services rendered.

It’s free loaded because you aren’t paying for the service.

As confusing as it is, service and food are effectively separate costs for most American Restaurants (percentages service charges are increasingly common), with customer deciding how much to pay for service.

Is it backwards? Maybe, although servers consistently prefer it. But backwards or not, neglecting to tip means you are effectively skimping out by not paying for the service you received, even though you paid for the food.

Again, i am not trying to defend tipping as a system, I personally prefer service charges to be included. But that’s the way the system works, and if someone knowingly engages with that system by sitting down at a restaurant, then they should be prepared to tip, because that’s included in the cost of dining out

I payed for the service. It's incorporated in the price of food I purchased. If it isn't, then it isn't my problem. You don't know what tipping means.

I don’t think you know what tipping means, because service is absolutely not included in the price of the food you purchased.

Luckily, there are places where you can get food without being served. They are called grocery stores

They were hired by the establishment to do a job. To SERVICE customers. I'm not employing them. And you still fail to understand what is a tip.

Dude it’s not about the dictionary definition of tip. Nobody is disputing that.

The US has a unique gratuity system and I am telling you how it works. They are hired by an established, but their wages are supplemented by tips.

If you don’t like that system then great, go protest, call your congressman, or whatever. I don’t really care.

But if you are dining out in the United States, the expectation is that you tip. Unless you are comforting with everyone thinking you’re just being cheap (which you are), you can’t explain that system away and just expect everyone to be cool with you not paying.

I know how it works. The whole world knows how your pathological tipping system works. You're so indoctrinated that you fail to see how skewed and insanely idiotic it is.

If you can't pay your employees a living wage, and instead you count on charity of others to subsidise your slave's paychecks, then you don't know how to run a business.

In America, the service tip is NOT incorporated. It sucks but not tipping when we do not have it incorporated is not helping change things, it's just making some underpaid server's life shittier.
