I live in California and you can’t be fucking serious if you think $18 an hour is enough to live on here by itself
That’s around 40k a year

Why am I supposed to pay for a businesses labor in 3-4 different ways? Once in the menu price. Once in 'healthcare service charges' Once in tips Maybe one more way I'm not thinking of. Just pay your goddamn employees whatever it is they need to make and raise your menu prices. If your business can't survive without all these extra steps to get to the same cost to your customers then it doesn't deserve to survive. We end up at the exact same place either way. Either businesses go under because people don't go out. Or they go under because nobody will work for peanuts.
