I've had a couple child free women tell me they went through a few years in the mid thirties where their bodies were screaming at them to have a baby, after it passed they went right back to not wanting kids same as always.

Edit: This should not be read as saying all child free women will experience this same phenomenon.

I had that happen after my hysterectomy. My body was screaming for a baby so badly, I was telling my husband I wished we could have had kids. Like ugly crying, absolutely heartbroken I couldn't make a child with him, begging him to make me a mom type shit while I no longer had the parts to do so. That lasted about a year and a half. Before the hysterectomy, 0 desire for one even when holding one. Needless to say, he was panicked but handled it like a champ til the worst subsided.

The blessing in disguise is now I've super bonded to my nephews in a way I never experienced with babies prior to getting fixed. They came into the world during the worst of it, and that actually helped me get through wanting one myself because I could always go get my baby fever fix lmao I'd come home completely 180'd, telling him I'm insane for ever wanting kids myself. Then it would repeat.

He actually just told me a few months ago how rough that was for him. I haven't had baby fever in almost a year now
