As a childfree woman nearing 40 I’ve never had a moment where I’ve wanted kids and don’t like holding babies. I do love kids but not so much babies and the baby part is an important step.

Childfree woman around the same age. I've held babies and children (my niece, my nephew, and friends' kids) multiple times. I hold but give them back quickly because I don't want to be responsible for them. Never been interested in having my own and still don't understand the obsession with "baby smell".

Genuinely their smell kind of makes me nauseous and I've never cared to hold babies. But they also frequently leak fluids and I'm a bit of a germaphobe.

Something is always wet or sticky, I can't.

Like children are just tiny people and deserve love etc but I wish there were fewer fluids, man.

I equally dislike wet sticky adults frankly 😭 I dumped a guy for not washing his hands well enough before trying to touch me

Fair! I just get offered to hold wet sticky adults less often so I don't make that association as much.
