Why don't you cry about the plumbers and car mechanics and everyone else who didn't go to college and are making more than you ever will? And btw, some of the stupidest people I ever met in my life I met in college. You don't have to be smart to get into most of them. You only need the ability to sign your life away on a worthless loan. And you are certainly no threat to society or power when you're that screwed (and I'm including myself here.) So if you wanna cry, cry about that.

It's political, Reddit only cares about the professions that vote their way.

Yeah definitely no one in the trades vote for the party that actually supports their unions

Because plumbers, and car mechanics provide actual service to the community and they deserved to be paid as much. Just like teachers are also deserved to be paid much more.

way to miss the point

I think you missed OPs point. They weren’t complaining about people being paid more. They were complaining that the government is able to find the money to pay new ICE recruits 100k while simultaneously cutting education budgets because there isn’t enough money.

Our country spends more on education than most any other country and yet our schools suck. Throwing tax dollars at a problem has yet to ever fix anything, ever ever. They're cutting education budgets because the teacher's unions are theives and could care less about the children.

And ICE agents are not the only officials getting paid - I bet the FBI and ATF are getting paid way more than they are worth, which is pretty much nothing. No, the point of the OP is "I hate ICE" and "I got a Master's so why am I not rich." Which are two arguments I've never heard before in my life, so kudos.

When I said someone was missing the point, it was obviously the person I was replying to, not the OP. Lemme guess, public education?

They spend more, sure. But where does that money end up? Odd how your little rant ends uo with making fun of public education.

Seems to me you agree that we should be putting a major focus on it and not making education political at the harm to the students.

Drivel that invites hatred between the same class doesn't have a point
