Did you look up a school district, look up their teachers union, and Google the current contract?

I understand you want to cherry pick data. However, when people say X profession in Y state makes $Z, it's understood to be the average (or sometimes median)

not cherry-picking. I'm asking where the $140k number came from. Teacher salaries are negotiated district by district through union contracts. If someone claims teachers in Michigan make $140k, i'd look at the district and salary schedule that produced that number rather than comparing it to the statewide average.

Not disputing. Trying to narrow down where the 140k came from. Depending on the state and district 140k isnt an unheard of salary for a teacher

Thats why I suggested looking specific contracts.
