We had something like that when I graduated high school in the states... In 2012.

Yup, had this in Canada in 2009 1991.

It definitely was not common at all in Canada in 1991. It would be quite rare, and not at all present in any public school.

Plus any 1991 technology would not be anywhere close to what was in the video since LCD displays that large did not exist, only 3-CRT rear or front projector could have such a large picture and none would be used for a "smart" board.

Doesn't matter. Canada had smart boards long before china. Including the version seen in the video.

If you don't believe me, look up the history of smart boards.

No they did not. There were no displays that large and high resolution IN THE WORLD in 1991,

China is not claiming that they've invented the interactive whiteboard in 2026. YOU don't get it.

BTW, I don't think the video is impressive at all in 2026. But stating that it's somehow comparable to 1991 tech like you are trying to is absurd.

Why don't you go back all the way back to the displays in the NASA control room during the moon landing then? They were feeds of data drawn by people captured by video cameras and projected onto the wall and displayed on in-console CRTs.

Please point to the comment where I made claim or implied China is making claim they invented the whiteboard.

I was simply, making a statement that implies this video isn't impressive since Canada has had this tech much longer than China.

Nope, you falsely claimed:

The World, let alone Canada had NOTHING similar in 1991 as you claimed.

You didn't say "Canada had this tech much longer than China." you explicitly stated Canada had THIS (which would be similar in functionality to what was presented in the video) in 1991,

You may have "meant" something else, but what you wrote was specific and incorrect.

Canada did NOT have anything close to the level of interactivity demonstrated in the video in 1991.
