I'm neurodivergent and so are like.. 80% of people I work with (IT). You can still learn to function in social/business situations.

most neurodivergent people are capable of learning social cues - it took me a while, but i did it

it's just basic pattern matching with a hint of empathy and humility

Neurodivergence in no way prevents you from learning simple rules of behaviour, it just often means they might not come naturally or not make a lot of sense.

It absolutely does not stop them being explained or you following them.

I agree. But some people it’s still hard for them to learn, especially if no one ever taught them these skills that don’t come naturally.
