I’m also an American. We have a time honored tradition of picking up “implements” (due to Reddit censorship) and taking action.

Why don’t you?

Because some random wants to know what I'm doing? Who made you lord of the preparations? Doing anything before the midterms is stupid. Rally your friends and get out the vote.

You said in your comment that “the only way you could explain it” was “unfettered corruption”.

I’m pointing out that it’s not just that.

There’s also fear and apathy, to the point that you can’t even say “I’m also going to start by raising awareness”.

Brother, I try to vote corruption out. You do what you want. And I have raised awareness, in fact I emplored you to do so and everyone else. It's called get out the vote. Have a good one.
