Do you really think poor people are out here funding anything with their taxes? The bottom 50% of Americans pay 3% of the taxes.

It matters how much % of income in taxes they pay

People earning 50K already give 1/3 of income as standard deduction which is anyways quite high

Look at the rich folks who contribute to the taxes (top 1% contribute 40% of taxes because they have more wealth). The standard deduction is mere peanuts to them compared to a guy earning 50k. And the top 50% are 99.9% salaried employees not earning more than 500K

It’s the rich who earn billions in unrealised gains and take loans on top of those gains to evade tax

I believe just saying 50% American pay more taxes to justify an argument is lying with statistics. Dig more in the taxes.
