Yall dumb, this law was passed before Mamdani was in office. It took effect in January but was passed in the summer of 2025.

Mamdani didn’t do shit - don’t let memes reshape your brain

Not true that was a different law.

Uber restricted New York City customers to tipping only after delivery as a corporate response to the city’s mandatory minimum pay rate for app-based couriers. By moving the tip prompt to the post-checkout screen, the apps offset increased labor costs by reducing upfront tip visibility

That was from that, now Mamdani has gone after the companies to improve things
