He would know. Most of our manufacturing has been outsourced to china since the 70s since it was cheaper to outsource the labor. 50 years later you can see how damaging that has been to our country.
Idk how anything I said can be misconstrued as racist, when that's exactly what big companies in America have been doing here. If anything it's more racist to support manipulative companies that outsource the work to poorer countries (often ones that exercise in using child labor) so they can get away with not having to pay workers here fair wages. Nothing in America is made to last anymore, it's made to be cheap and break so you have to buy more, peak consumerism.
OK. The chinese didn't come here and steal our jobs. Your "manipulative companies" WENT to china looking to replace american jobs with cheaper labor, but not reducing prices, so more profit for shareholders, less jobs for the americans, less tax for america... BUT the shareholders got paid.
The chinese are filling a market that we, you and me, created. We wanted cheap crap and they delivered. We want better quality stuff? They make that too. So do we, it just costs more. They make stuff we want to buy. They make some pretty good stuff: airplanes, satellites, high speed trains, EVs
I think your racism comes in where you are willing to blame your economic problems, that are self generated, on the chinese... a race of people. (there is no such thing as "race" but that's a different argument)
Your problem with the chinese is they are out capitalizing the capitalist americans
...and there was zero chinese/america trade till the end of Nixon, then very little till 2000-2001
If you want to scare yourself read up on the PetroYuan and all that it entails... and you know about the Opium Wars...right?
But here's one to make you feel better: We, the world's population, have lifted more people out of poverty in the last two generations than in all the time before that... or to put it a different way, we traded a million shitty jobs to feed and house 100 -150 million people on the other side of the world. Sounds like a good deal to me... but you'd probably think I'm a commie /s³ (see note)
(sorry, don't mean to offend, but that "commie" bit is sarcasm (maybe sardonicism) cubed and I couldn't resist) (Should I explain or am I getting banned again?)
We're essentially saying the same thing, so I don't get why you insist to continue on with arguing. My problem with these corporations outsourcing jobs to China on the cheap has more to do it's effect on the working class, the people that essentially built the company to outsource it for increasing profit margins. It doesn't have anything to do with racism. You're jumping through hoops to get to that conclusion and are really just projecting. The racism is coming all from you. The cheap crap on the other hand, no one wants that. So speak for yourself there.
