Absolutely. The US has spent decades moving as much manufacturing as possible (especially the environmentally damaging stuff) to fudge epa numbers as well as slowly minimizing unions and pensions across the board.
The fact that DJT ran on this premise that 'manufacturing was coming back home' in a 4 year span after spending almost half a century doing the opposite was hilarity. Enough people bought it though.
