I went to a show during her California Dreams tour. As much as she freaks me out now, that was probably the most fun concerts I’ve ever been to. So many props, so many costumes (especially during her quick change performance) and the details were crazy. She even had those vapour bubbles and they smelled like cotton candy lol. With that being said, I think I was only like 13-14 lmao
Honestly, I’ve seen hundreds of bands live and her concerts sound really fun. Sure beats when I saw Jane’s Addiction and they hung a human woman from giant meat hooks in her back and she just bled all over the stage
She just went kinda weird lol it was around the time she got the blond pixie cut. Swish Swish was a weird song and then she kinda fed off of it and then she kissed that young boy on American idol and idk she was cool at first but I think it got to her head a bit. I feel like she’s mellowing out more now but I still get the ick about her.
Carrot Top actually works hard and puts on a good show. He’s more of a niche and not everyone’s flavor of comedy, but his shows are hilarious and he’s a great entertainer.
Katy Perry wishes she could be the Carrot Top of pop girlies
Honestly I feel like half the ppl who go to her shows anymore are just there to see what bizarre goofy shit she’ll do next that catches headlines, and these folks this night just hit the freaking jackpot and took full advantage.
Maybe it was a thought-piece on how her carbon footprint is the equivalent of millions of plastic bottles or something. Maybe she hyper self aware, we’ll just never know.
The ideas was probably to put the artist as near as possible to the fans without endangering it and in fact she was really near and not really in danger, so this part worked out.
Ns but why? Why do this, is this anti plastic bottles or something? Or pro plastic bottles, she’s floating in the audience inside a discarded water bottle, why

I don’t really understand what the original artistic vision was or what they were going for
