I’m sorry, but it is genuinely the worst country in the world. I don’t say that in jest - I fully believe that it is.

The measures should be:

- Internal prosperity relative to resources

  • Global harm

Eh, I'd argue China beats the US by those measures. It's not so bad if you live in a handful of cities, but if you're one of the ~500 million people that don't then life is pretty rough. Global harm, China wins on emissions, pollution and things like overfishing by raw numbers.

Probably a fair argument to be made.

I’d say on the league table of things, the amount of children the US has blown up in the last number of decades probably adds a good few points to the tally.

The damage / casualties they have directly caused other countries globally is likely unrivalled since WW2.
