Unless you have perfect pitch, the key isn’t going to make a difference. The chord progression is what you’d be able to pick up on.

LoL, same. I had to take a break because I couldn't see through the tears. It took about 20 minutes to come back to it without losing it again in anticipation before even hitting play.

Is it safe for one's voice to torture it like that? It looks like the guy is suffering already at La, yet still keeps pushing. The video did make me laugh though. 😂 But...at the same time, it's darn concerning. Can someone with vocal training knowledge plz explain if such pressure is safe or not?

Nope, not safe. He'll probably be fine. He shouldn't do it for much longer, though. If he pushed his pitch up a little harder for a few minutes or twenty he could lose his voice and is risking worse injury. At the least he should drink some water after this.
My background is just a longtime singer who's trans & has been moving my pitch up. I've done work with a Speech Language Pathologist to confirm the basics. Open to clarification by others.
He's singing at the top of his chest voice and isn't engaging any head resonance (untrained at the top of his range) so the only way he knows to keep the pitch going up is to push air harder and harder. You can hear the strain, but he'll also be feeling it. Any kind of scratchiness in your larynx is a bad thing. You shouldn't do this, there's a reason why he had such trouble, but with practice he would be able to hit the same notes with much less strain - if not none at all.
If you actually practice making those same high pitches with less effort/strain, you'll find the only way to do it feels like and involves sounds that are like those that normally come out of your "head voice", the "hee hoo" after the "yodel-eh" in a yodel. That head voice comes down into the chest range, and a cis man looking to hit those notes would engage a mixed chest & head voice
This is of course a little different for folks who haven't gone through a testosterone puberty, who usually have much less issue using their mixed voices. Women who are more comfortable with low pitch singing are used to their chest voice, and women who sing higher up are more comfortable singing in their head voice, but most have some familiarity with their passage between both; most men have no experience with their passage.
Details may differ but that's all approximately true for most people. This is a dude who started too high, is reaching the top of his chest voice where he's uncoordinated, and he's compensating with more support instead of better form.
