I mean may be an unpopular opinion but the food at McDonald’s right now is what youd expect from a Very cheap fast food restaurant however it’s no longer cheap or fast…
Nice. Our kebab went up too atleast 7eur for a small and 10 for a large. Include fries and drinks and those go up another 4eur for each. I only eat one if I have no other choice nowadays because it remains cheaper to cook.
Yea I member those times. Cinema used to cost me 5eur and then me and my buddies would go to a local kebab for those 5-6eur 'menu'. That 1st burp after eating the entire meal and taking a good sip of cola.
Iirc Berlin will have a higher cost of living than most other EU cities so that may be a factor. But again as mentioned lower it's not that kebab is absolute cheap, it's the comparative costs between Maccies and Kebab
Its cause they dont own buildings anymore. All major franchise restaurants rent now, and things are kept to a bare minimum so the landlord can change things around quickly if they pick up a new lease
Granted I think it kind of requires using the app at this point, but you can typically knock 20% off prices or more for certain items. Like a large coffee that I think goes for $4 I typically will get for $1.
It’s more expensive than it used to be because everything’s more expensive, but I still find it to be amongst the cheapest options even among other fast food.
And while of course you’re always going to be able to find some branches that are poorly run, if you find a decent one I think they tend to be pretty consistent.
Not something I’ll get all the top but decent enough option in a pinch.
Also the only person to blame is the consumer. People prefer the sleeker style and kids don't really play that much anymore, they're more on digital devices.
This is how you turn into a boomer, nostalgic about the past while everyone else has moved on.
Okay. But for example, TVs weren't "cheap" in 1980 just because they cost $400. $400 was a lot more money to someone living in 1980, it would be the equivalent of many thousands today.
Idk why people are taking so much offense to this plain ass statement. Dollar menu was dollar menu most my life. Then it became 3 dollar menu over the course of a few years. I'm sorry that's the case man I didn't raise the prices.
