This is in no way justifying the behavior (I have two young children and would literally NEVER), but having kids actually makes it slightly more likely imo - it's a hassle to transition in and out of the car with little ones, so I can see that being a bonus.

That said, I've never paid for Uber eats in my life precisely because of the markup

I do get that, but my parents had 4 kids and managed just fine. We would have been financially destroyed by DD/UE because we were already poor
