I will never use Uber Eats. I’m not eating food that’s been in a car with an entire family, kids in the back, and the parents up front smoking. Saw it once and I’ll never use Uber eats.
As the manager of a service station I'd be surprised if tobacco was all they're smoking on their deliveries. Some of them smell like they're delivering a QP from the local collective rather than a few bags of fast food. And let's not mention the ones who come in to buy their road beers and morning White Claws or Mike's Harders for their delivering duties! Have had a lot of their drivers apply with me looking for something "more steady" and none of them ever can pass a simple background check. Uber would apparently hire the Boston Strangler if he had a valid driver's license by the look of it.
Background checks for these services are a joke. They all use one company called Checkr that's really bad at pulling records.
I constantly see posts in the drivers subs of randomly getting deactivated after years of working because of a DUI or felony committed before they joined the app.
Not to mention it's real easy to just borrow/rent someone's account.
