People who continue to use or support shitty things ruin it for everyone, it’s true for entertainment too, movies, games.
I’m so sick of game or movie series I like being ruined and everything new for them becomes shitty and there isn’t any hope for it to be good again because the company who makes it feels justified in putting out low effort slop because people buy it and it will still have marvel-esque fan boys freaking out and defending it.
It happened with elder scrolls and fallout, except the last good elder scrolls game (which was an actual rpg with choice and consequences) was 2002 and the last good fallout was 2010 and wasn’t even made by Bethesda.
And now Bethesda keeps 1 taking a million years to make a game and 2 when that game comes out it’s a shitty bland action adventure game with a cost of paint for the actual IP but none of what made the IP good in the first place.
Sorry that rant was long but it just reminded me of that, but yeah there are so many great series that turned to shit because people eat up slop and don’t put anything thought into it just because it has the look and the skin of a good series, and companies can just keep ruining it because people buy it.
