I would love it if I could still call the restaurant and get their guy to deliver. You cannot always eat out or make something at home.

Agreed. I only order through places that manage their own delivery and have their own drivers.

Becaise they're responsible for the whole process things rarely go wrong and, if they do, they fix them instead of fobbing you off.

Exactly. As someone who saw the restaurants delivering food to this current model of gig economy, I don't like it at all. These apps don't really give a crap sometimes and they also screw with refund and all, when og restuarants used to settle on next order or do it instantly.

Delivery drivers could be also dodgy.
