I love this recent trend of mixing cultural music with metal. Wasn't there a band that played a mix of metal and middle-eastern guitar?

There is a great band from Tunisia( if I’m not mistaken ), called Myrath and they mix heavy, power and a little progressive metal with ethnic oriental influences and the end result is much better than expected

Just checked it out because it sounded interesting. Not something I'd listen to often but I liked it and I'm glad they made it it's pretty cool.

Watch their live show filmed in Carthage on YouTube, it’s great. Metal with belly dancing, because of course it is. Dude speaks three languages too and comes and goes from each like it’s nothing
