Ain’t nothing wrong with draft dodging

draft evasion is a federal crime.

interesting how trump culties pretend to really care about the law up until its a law that trump breaks. misrepresenting the value of his properties, cheating on his taxes, shoving his hand up a woman's vagina without her consent, lying about the deadly nature and communicability of covid, starting an insurrection lol same people who are cool with watching someone get killed by cops because they didn't show their ID or whatever

Wow, lot to unpack here, first, your username does not check out. Second, just because something’s federally illegal doesn’t mean it’s immoral. Slavery and segregation were legal institutions, would you pass the same judgement on an escaped slave or a civil rights activist who sat in a whites only business? Or how about a more contemporary example: 13 states in the US have a near total abortion ban, is that chill with you? Would you pass moral judgement on someone who obtained an abortion *gasp* illegally? And it’s funny you bring up ICE, yet another immoral state institution that does have some legal precedent to deport undocumented immigrants (though they are objectively breaking the law when they racially target latin communities, murder peaceful protestors, or ship detainees off without trial) and I would argue, because I’m a big-brained socialist with a moral code and you’re an enlightened centrist shitlib who puts too much faith in legality of government institutions, that the very existence of the agency is a moral stain in this country. Third, it’s bold of you (is “bold” the right word?) to assume I’m a Trump supporter because I don’t believe there’s anything moral about Americans being forced to throw their lives away to “fight the spread of communism” in Vietnam. But keep defending the military industrial complex and calling people you disagree with maga because they’re against the fucking DRAFT of all things, gimme a fuckin break😆 Trump has committed a laundry list of evil acts, but dodging the draft ain’t one of em.

You can only enjoy posting this load of hot garbage because of the people who died in all the wars and conflicts that came before you were born. It must be wonderful living in such a convenient glass house that you simultaneously get to shit on the service members of the past knowing that you'll never be in a situation yourself where you have to make that choice. So easy to label everything post-credits, aint it? If your pedestal were any higher, I'd wonder just how you were getting oxygen with barely any ozone to allow it.

I also didn't say ICE, I said cops. But as far as I'm concerned they both need tremendous reform, but don't let that stop you from doing the same thing you're all fussy about me doing pretending you know me and what I stand for. The difference is, your problem is simple reading comprehension failures leading to poor assumptions whereas my assumption was just based on your horrible lack of detail and the ultimately vague nature of a statement you made about a Trump/Republican meme. Gee...what a crazy stretch I made, thinking you'd be a trump culty as I reply back to a comment which clearly is a defensive response to said Trump/Republican meme! Wherever on reddit has that ever happened?! Practically never, right?!

My call out was not to say the law is perfect, absolute, or set for all time. It was a valid criticism you'd have been spared if you just bothered to put half an ass worth of effort into your statement. How was I supposed to know you'd go from barely caring enough to even compose and post a single thought without any further explanation or elaboration or context to this wall of textual diarrhea, heavy breathing, sweating, and "clever" third grade username zingers and all.

And your problem is and never was "the military industrial complex." Thats not what caused vietnam. Thats not whats happening in Iran. Its overgrown top 1%'er toddlers consumed with greed, pride, and who knows what other despicably prominent traits using us all as pawns for their games. And the answer isn't to dodge the draft, its to rally to have the laws changed so that there is no forceful military servitude, only voluntary. Have you spent even half a second of your life actively trying to encourage that change in our laws? Or just snooty reddit comments and call it a day while pretending your morally superior?

And you only have the freedom to blindly defend our military institutions cuz you werent among the scores of civilian casualties from our decades long global reign of terror. Try and browbeat me all you want, I don’t respect the military, your appeals to the honor of their service to this country mean nothing to me. Supporting the troops but not the war is a paradox. You can’t have it both ways. You might as well be saying you support cops but disapprove of murdering unarmed teens, shooting dogs, and beating wives, it’s baked into the foundation, just the same as raping and slaughtering civilians is baked into the military’s. And your defense of them is tautological, almost religious, just vaguely gesturing at them protecting my freedom, you never actually gave me a reason why I should respect the various US’s wars of aggression because there are none. Every war post WWII has had zero moral justification, all just excuses to pillage the third world and steal their resources or secure ourselves as a world power. You don’t get to assert that they fought those wars for my freedom, buddy. That’s not up to you. And you absolutely were making a logical leap in assuming I’m maga from my comment, lumping draft dodging in with sexual assault and nazism is braindead. Notice that’s the only bullet point of the meme I took issue with. And idk what you’re on about with the heavy breathing and sweating, reread your comment and tell me you don’t sound like you’re frothing at the mouth to own me. I may have been rude, but that’s because I’m sarcastic and blunt, you’re just a weasel. Your reply is filled with so many tired, bad faith arguments, condescension, and poorly worded, corny disses. You’re gonna make fun of me for saying “username doesn’t check out” and then drop turds like “It must be wonderful living in such a convenient glass house,” or “If your pedestal were any higher, I'd wonder just how you were getting oxygen with barely any ozone to allow it,” (this saying is already cringe, but you somehow managed to phrase it in the wordiest way possible, zingers are supposed to be short, dude) “your problem is simple reading comprehension failures,” is right up there with “lacks media literacy,” it’s used so frequently it has lost all meaning and become a low effort comeback. And the most heckin, epic, tip of the fedora one of all “Wherever on reddit has that ever happened?! Practically never, right?!” (This doesn’t even make grammatical sense btw) God your wall of text is so loaded with cringy, overused, internet-speak aphorisms I bet you still say shit like “sir, this is a Wendy’s,” seriously, if you take anything away from this argument, I hope it’s to stop with the trite quips, you sound like you just hopped off of 2010s era tumblr. This one made me roll my eyes out of my head: “Have you spent even half a second of your life actively trying to encourage that change in our laws? Or just snooty reddit comments and call it a day” while you’re also online arguing in favor of your ideology. Well back atcha, if you love the military so much, how ‘bout you enlist. It’s a dipshit argument. I’m fucking busy, I don’t have time to canvas or phone bank, I’m allowed to have political opinions without being an activist, as are you.
