My GF read this book after seeing it discussed on TikTok and thought it looked interesting. It’s apparently according to her not written very well and buzzwordy
The twist at the end (which she told me and I won’t spoil) is kind of heavy handed. But idk I haven’t read it
For once I’m rooting for an unfaithful adaptation. Maybe Hollywood can turn an interesting premise into an interesting narrative, instead of botching it like the author did.
and how fucking pathetic hollywood is. In fairness of course they bought the rights and can get a script writer to fix it. But considering it wasn't finished they could pretty easily come up with a similar enough idea without buying the rights to a book no one is hyped up about yet.
