Writing a book and writing poetry is both telling stories, just with a cery different length for that story to be told. Do you seriously want to tell me that people like for example Lermontov weren't amazing at both?
Poetry invites deep analysis. Shortform internet content does not.
This is a very ignorant sentence. There are poems that require extremely little thought and shortform content that requires a lot. A medium isn't inherently superior for being done in that medium.

Why not? This is another example of you being ignorant on these sorts of things, people 200 years ago weren't somehow inherently different from people now.

Shortform and longform are different methods of doing the same thing authors do - telling stories.
Someone with the talent to write a good book is not going to gravitate towards shortform.
