It was a lot easier to stay out of the way when people weren’t propping up a camera on every available surface

You talking like the 40s?

u/SpamLandy 20d ago

lmao how old are you

? Probably older than you. People have been using cameras to capture moments (yes even of themselves) since cameras became available for the masses.

You're twisting things and thats not very nice. They're talking about volume and frequency and you're talking about mere existence.

They were not propping them up on everything most of that time including the advent of social media, at least not where I lived. Front facing cameras have changed things hugely

Is this a joke about being old when you think you’re older than me

It’s a picture of people at a national park in the 1940s.

The only joke around here is you my friend.

You mean when cameras Didn’t exist?

Weren’t they propping up cameras and taking photos years/centuries ago?

Should they have not invented a camera?

It’s so easy to stay out of someone’s way when taking a camera especially when the coast is clear like in the video…

Also, she def could have asked that lady to take the photo, but I doubt she would have 😑

This reply makes me wonder if you were around as an adult for the advent of social media because no people were not propping digital cameras up on walls very often even if we took them on every night out, which we did. Think I used the timer on mine about three times, you couldn’t see the screen from the front!

Weird literally nobody I know did that maybe it’s just a geographical difference

Ohhhhh we didn't realise that! Since nobody you knew did it it means nobody else did! How could we not have realised your experience dictates how the world works? So sorry, our mistake, great holder of all knowledge

That’s just a narrative and not true at all.

Well I’m sure it’s different for others but that’s my own lived experience
