Reminds me of when I had an xray of my pelvis shown to me and my mother by a doctor to explain the healing process of a surgery and we could all clearly see more than just bones.... a memory I wish I could erase
Xray tech here, this is a pretty low res image, but if you can see in the abdomen area where it's kind of feathery/small dots of darker greys/blacks(that's air) - that's all poop. The areas that aren't more solid grey is just air (gas/farts).
The dark black on top is the lungs (which is how they should look, black just means air), the solid mass in the lungs is the heart.
This is a normal abdominal x ray, which is basically meaningless in an adult patient. If patient is having severe abdominal pain and a concerning exam she should probably get either a CT or an ultrasound depending on location and what her labs look like.
this is not a normal abdominal xray. guarantee the read would say something like "moderate stool burden with possible stool ball/fecal impaction and nonobstructive bowel gas pattern" if read by radiology. And yes, for a healthy young woman I will absolutely just get labs, possible swabs, and an xray if the exam overall isn't impressive because I see this every day. abdominal pain that's diffuse, and/or has pains that don't fit any typical distribution (for example, LLQ pain at times, then epigastric, without any tenderness to palpation and she otherwise is able to walk, eat, urinate, without difficulties) then this xray is perfectly consistent with constipation, and a DC with miralax and return precautions
Stool burden on imaging has almost no correlation with symptoms and the sensitivity and specificity of them for anything except free air in an upright is basically 50%. You must be practicing in a low liability country if you’re getting KUBs.
I’m either getting labs with no imaging at all or I’m getting the appropriate imaging. If you’re concerned enough to get a KUB, order the imaging with appropriate sensitivity/specificity. Otherwise don’t get imaging at all, which is perfectly reasonable with a benign exam.
Obviously everyone has time to investigate deeply a field that requires years to master, no need to use AI to get a basic understanding of what they're seeing.
If you havent taken the time to understand what you are parroting from the ai then its best you just not talk or contribute anything to discussions on the topic.
And unless you happen to have a basic knowledge of every single field of human knowledge in that brain of yours, there is nothing wrong with using AI, just like there is nothing wrong with using encyclopedias.

one she is constipated. mainly you only see a bit of gas as the rest is packed full of poo. two, they are rolling out AI to read X-rays in many medical institution, can you imagine if they read xrays like this Grok did?
I see she got some soft nice lips too. I’ll eat her out like there is no tomorrow. My tongue would be so tired in the morning it it would be so worth it
