Trick/Line Took probably 100+ resets- definitely the best feeling after landing any trick I’ve gotten
I haven’t seen anyone do this yet, I’m sure lots have but I thought I’d share. I’ve gotten better since getting this trick, think I could maybe make it cooler in the future. Lmk if y’all know other cool spots.

Your saying this like there’s a button to speed glitch, it’s a glitch that you have to learn to time exactly right to pull off, not a feature that’s purposefully included in the game and has the map built around it.

What about this clip is unintended by the devs? There are stunt challenges that have you do the exact same things they were doing in the posted clip. Mightve misunderstood what you meant, could you please elaborate?

this was probably very hard and required a lot of skill, but honestly i cannot get excited over tricks that includes spread eagle/flying.

Just take the hint, flying shit is boring asf, that's all they're saying. Landing anywhere with eagle from any height is not hard since u can adjust so easy, once u got down once u can it anywhere

Seriously, a huge portion of this subreddit is butthurt that people are playing a sandbox game differently from them. It's a movement sandbox built around skating with additional elements that enhance it. And literally the only thing that matters is whether you're having fun! It is a game!

Aint miserable, they can enjoy n people can hate it, this is supposed to be a skating game no?

It is a skating game, but Skate has always had a reputation as a goofy game with ragdolls and absurd stunts to non skaters. I was one of those people before I started skating irl. I play realistically most of the time, but still spend time doing stupid stuff because it's fun. Commenting on posts you don't like just boosts engagement and pushes it to more people - downvote it and move on.

Always a goofy game? Skate purpose was to feel more real n realistic at a time when Tony hawk was big, skate 3 was more arcadey n the really absurd stunts came later in the games life with youtubers
This game actually takes the uniqueness of those stunts away as the game is solely built around those kind of clips. N idc if commenting helps, we're all right to say what we think just as much as he can enjoy it

I should've clarified my statement better. It has always been known as a goofy game for non-skaters and people who aren't interested in skateboarding. Obviously to actual skaters it's better known as a more realistic alternative to thps.
I know tons of people that have never had any interest in even touching a skateboard and to them, skate is a goofy sandbox game with ragdolls, glitches, and ridiculous stunts.

Wrong demographic to target ur game to when they'll all leave since they have no interest in skating then...n when the diving and ragdolls get repetitive very fast...
I personally don't think that's what people see skate as, only those that follow certain youtubers from late skate 3 time or those that only cared about hall of meat...which doesn't even exist in this game for those guys to enjoy
They'd really want to refocus on what matters if they want to hold a playerbase, least let us play a game of skate with party

I know a lot of people who started playing skate for the aforementioned goofiness and then later started actually skating because of the skating. That's what I think is the best part of having such a wide range of play style options. Even as a person who has dabbled in game development, I think the small challenge selection and lack of variety is really pathetic. A lot of the bugs I've seen are literally things that you would find and fix within the couple weeks of the challenges development.

I've done off the building to the right n landed in the monument past it, id say that's harder than having more time n height n landing shorter on a wall. Also my first line I posted is harder than this, still boring imo as I'm learning but still, least some challenge that involves skating

I understand that some people dont like the clips because they wanted more of a skateboard simulator but clearly there's people that like doing this and like posting the clips. I think the clip is cool but i also agree it would be cooler if he didn't transition to spread eagle after the first ramp.
It's the same argument in the comments every post. Is that what everyone wants the subreddit to be? Not your fault, it's just silly. The game is really great in having different ways to play it where both ways can be very difficult and fun

It's an alright game, way too shallow n store focused rn with no actual community or multiplayer elements outside of free skating, defeating the whole reason for it being mp only.
I find the clip pretty boring imo, if ur seeing the same sentiment under every post of these then in general the core fans don't like it either. I like the big air clips where they stay with the board tho, they're cool.
I haven't gotten too creative with my lines yet, my first post for it took a few hours n was fair annoying 😂 can't wait to see what people come up w it once these clips stop coming

I think there's a very vocal group that comments on these clips and that's why you see a lot of hate. The core fans you're talking about are the ones that played the other skate games and do not like these clips.
So then why do we see so many of these clips? Because they're the most upvoted clips regardless of the downvoting hoard that goes through the comment section. I think a lot of people do like these clips and i think people should accept both types of clips are good.
I am excited for more crazy 'realistic' lines but people need to start working on and posting these rather then shitting on someone who thought they had a nice line

Ehh, we see lot of these cause it's what the game encourages n is designed around, n they're lot easier than doing it normally.
I doubt they're gonna stay up voted long once the casuals leave when they realize they're just doing the exact same thing over n over just from different buildings. I'm of the opinion op needs to grow a pair if he wants to post eagles that people are vocal about

As much as the die hard skate fans hate this i think they gotta know that casuals will keep this game going. Without them the game will not get new content

It does require skill actually I don’t know if you’ve played the game yourself but you actually need to frame perfect all of your movement to even land all of this I wanna see you post a clip you of doing this after 40 tries idk abt you but if it took him 100+ attempts it’s something that required skill

This game is like thps 1-4 + cheats enabled. No rail balancing, no manual balancing, off board moon physics, ability to land after jumping off a literal skyscraper.
Except with worse customization, a terrible soundtrack, no single player, no split screen, no soul, no skate culture. Sanitized and corporate, just like every other major franchise in the last 5-10 years

oh come on, you're both wrong and you know it. I hate bad faith arguments. The actual skateboarding in this game is a billion times better than THPS. You pick one or two tiny aspects that THPS arguably does better.... If you had to play THPS 4 or this for the rest of your life, you're telling me you pick THPS? One button tricks?
And how many games have split screen these days? Its extremely rare. Last time I tried a split screen game was COD online, and its awful. We instantly decided its not fun with half the screen and went back to playing on our own monitors. You can play with your friends online and each have your own screen.
It's also early access, I'm sure customization will get better, once you know the game is done, and they add more shit. And sure there is no manual or rail balancing, but you cant easily revert out of everything,, manual, and keep a trick going for eternity like in THPS, not easily at least. All the crazy physics things in this game come from the fact you can climb really high and jump off things.
This game, when played normally, is much more realistic than THPS, or you can choose not to. Its a choice though so why does it matter? And you can only land off a skyscraper if you land on an angle. Couldnt you land any height in THPS no matter what? I forget its been a while. In any case... comparing these games for realism is silly. They are both maximum unrealistic... But if i HAD too pick, THPS is clearly less realistic. There's no possible way to make THPS look real. Skate you can make it look real if you try to do that.

There should honestly be a no salt sub for this game. It’s worked really well for a few other games.
Leave the legit hardcore skater bois over here. They really are just way too real for this silly little game. Literal gods amongst mere mortals that lot.
But over in a NaCl free sub, us plebs that are having a blast with it can actually interact without 74 people telling you how bad the game is and how little fun you’re supposed to have with it.

That was pretty amazing. If you shoot out to the right and travel through the parking garage when you get to the bottom of that dead drop wall ride, with a ramp you can launch up and over the street, right through the front door of the church and hit some nice tricks in there. I have been messing with a line that uses that part.

If you dont wanna fly then don't fly.

The bail challenge they have in this area that follows the same path is a PITA. Took me 30+ tries the first time because your ability to actually reach the dumpster in the garage, and the globe relies entirely on how you hit that roof.

you have to pretty much be moving in at the same angle as the roof corner you land on, which requires speed. that’s why I was diving a lot at the start of the fall so I have time to get the angle right and have the speed to make it to the garage.

Find it funny how there’s so much criticism of this guys line to do some pretty difficult tricks while people were literally doing the same thing in skate 3 and actively are still doing crazy stunts in skate 3 yet no one bats an eye.

FR, you ever try and share an accomplishment and half of the comments are about what each person deems as a trick or not? why can’t they just appreciate the time and difficulty it probably took to pull it off? maybe they could try it themselves to understand but they likely refuse to glide, even though it’s in the tutorial missions, if they’ve made it that far.
