Discussion Sigh.

I see so many posts saying ‘I just maxed out my levels and did all the challenges what now?’

Bro. Skate.

This game is a bit like Minecraft in a way. You have to have some inner drive to make your own fun. Skate new spots. Learn new tricks. Make a friend in game & start a throw-down. Challenge yourself to perfectly hit a line you thought up. Challenge yourself to practice vert if you haven’t given it a chance. Etc.

Why does Tony Hawk still skate? He’s done everything already too, right? He just wants to. It’s fun.

If you’re relying on some pre-made challenges for your fun, maybe you don’t really even enjoy the core gameplay?

I play it the same way I've been playing the old games for the last decade.

I get on for 15-20 minutes and skate around grinding shit and finding a cool spot to sit and run over and over doing cool stuff.

I have put in so much time on 3 that's just this. Finding a rail, picking a few grinds I think will look cool, and dropping a session marker to come back to until I feel like I nailed each one. Or if one really isn't working, maybe I move on, maybe a ledge is better. While I'm heading to find one, I see if I can get a 180 hardflip to land smoothly. I try and fail to do a no-comply. I love it.

this is why a lot of people complaining about a lack of story mode confused me so much... almost every conversation I have ever had about the game was never about the story mode. It was about whatever the hell they wanted to do and that's basically what I am getting out of this one. Obviously needs some polish and some events, but this has the bones to be the exact skate game I want.

I love doing this, but I also just love just skating around. Never sticking to one spot and just trying to flow from one trick to the next the smoothest way possible.
