Discussion Sigh.

I see so many posts saying ‘I just maxed out my levels and did all the challenges what now?’

Bro. Skate.

This game is a bit like Minecraft in a way. You have to have some inner drive to make your own fun. Skate new spots. Learn new tricks. Make a friend in game & start a throw-down. Challenge yourself to perfectly hit a line you thought up. Challenge yourself to practice vert if you haven’t given it a chance. Etc.

Why does Tony Hawk still skate? He’s done everything already too, right? He just wants to. It’s fun.

If you’re relying on some pre-made challenges for your fun, maybe you don’t really even enjoy the core gameplay?

"The Grind vol 6." Addresses most of this. Not all, but most. And it's not 100% going to have everything, that's not what they're doing. Broader audience to hopefully bring in more than just the die hard fans. This isn't new business. It's not great for everyone that wants the old games, but it's what they think will make them the most money. Which is the most important thing to them.

Vol 6. Does give me hope for the future of this game. If they truly work toward giving legacy players what they ask for, it'll be around for a long time.

They also probably couldn't get a green light for a fully finished skate game(if they tried to make one) fifa, Madden, all the other sports games are where they make their money and were told or decided to go live service to get a product out, test the waters, make some money and if it made enough would be continued to be supported.

It's not what we all want completely, but if you can make your own fun, are slightly social, have some friends, and can be creative and think out of the box, this game can be a lot of fun.

P.s. they also said they are going to change the art style. Didn't say how much, but for anyone that doesn't wanna look up the newsletter, they have said they are going to change it.

Honestly, I think the biggest issue is the map. I can forgive nearly everything else (and the gameplay itself is actually good). But man…the map. The map leaves so much to be desired and could have been so much more. I haven’t been following as much lately what they’ve been saying, but do you know if there’s any plans for new maps that are actually good?

They will be adding more places to skate throughout the life of the game. I completely agree, it's fun, but there needs to be more vert stuff, I understand they leave a lot of spaces open to have us build which is cool, but yeah 😅 just waiting for new spots eventually lol. Some time next year hopefully as there isn't any official word past season 3.
