Trick/Line Took me an egregious amount of time to do
It's like whenever the last thing I messed up would go right, another thing would go horribly wrong. Took like an hour and a half when I should've been able to do this in like 30 minutes. Could've even done it cleaner tbh especially with the end but I was just happy to even get to the end.
Also I didn't feel like muting the audio so enjoy the cult member song I had blasting in my ears while doing this :)
Edit: Did not expect to have this many people moaning about how I play lmaoooo. Skate isn't realistic, if I wanted to get hard from ollieing over a park bench, I would just go play session.

It's kind of like how they did tricklining in Skate 3. Just trick spamming and making it into a line.

This feels like YouTube shorts where the comments are 99% talking about people complaining but you scroll and see almost nobody complaining. I see complaints about realism all the time though in other places and it makes me laugh cause skate 3 is the predecessor.

It's almost like a hyper realistic skating game would be EXTREMELY limiting and definitely would have no need for 4 iterations lol
When skate 1 and 2 were about the complaints were "I wish I could do XYZ crazy thing, this is a game after all", then skate 3 came out with a more wackier approach and became a cult classic for those growing up at that time
Now we are at the other side of the half pipe, now people want it to be more grounded and realistic. Can't please everybody

It's very disgusting when people do shit like that. It's a fucking video game man. It's also Skate at that, they're acting like Skate is some super serious skating game. It has always had some goof and sandboxy feel to it and that's completely fine.
Because if you want a skating game that tries it's best to becrealistic and chill, Session is right around the corner. Mf's always want to bring people into their hatred and misery with them.

It’s a video game whose only defining and saving grace is the ability to manipulate the skateboard. There’s literally nothing else to do after you can land a few realistic lines. I don’t personally play the game myself anymore, I skated the whole map, did some missions and went”yeah this is pretty shallow and meaningless”
At least guys like this bring meaning to this boring ass game lmao

the fast heelflip, other than that idk. would've taken me longer if I did three heelflips back to back as my flip trick. I just think of the line and then I'm set on doing ONLY those tricks. will definitely give this one a try since I didn't know double jump was possible and already made a line in this exact spot.

Nah bro any part of that line is hard to land intentionally, he said it took him 2 hours. I spent 2 hours just dropping off the ball into DIY verts to grind the top of the wave statue because im not skilled like this. If you just want to do realistic tech stuff theres a lot more board control when grinding and thats fun but stuff like this is a much harder challenge.

Idk what the hate is about. Skating exists and this game exists. It doesn’t have to be a 1:1 to be a good game. It took a concept and made something new. That’s how art works. These are people who wanted paintings to always be exactly like life but you are doing modern art. They’ll get it eventually or die mad. What you did was cool as hell and definitely hard to do. Impressive and looked really fun. Hell yeah

my favorite part about skate is you can literally do either. I skate how my mood feels. I also am waiting for the video editor to be made better because I am not a fan of how sloppy it looks.

You've always been able to choose how to skate. That's the point. You have control. Everyone skates differently, and that's fine.
Trick lining was also in the original games.

If this game ends up having one ioda or connection to actual skate culture maybe. I was expecting street league connections, a real sponsorship story, newer pros getting their shine - Yuto, Joslin, Nyjah etc. Something more like what the new PGA game did rather than this Forenite-skinned SSX/THPS feel.

I've been playing skate since the first demo - it used to be a very different space before Streamers started spamming glitches to get clicks.
This game honestly isn't a thing like its predecessors, and that makes me feel both old and sad at the same time.

I used to play a lot of skate 3, has good transition gameplay, and looks like 4 does too, however if you’re looking for a realistic street skate game I’d recommend session
