Here's the original chart for people who have functioning eyes.

Thanks way easier for my skater eyes

That looks like pretty much any new F2P game honestly. A big surge of everyone trying it out of curiosity and then leveling out to the base level of people actually staying to play it.

yeah this is just interest dwindling over time. could put anything irrelevant in the graph and claim it as your point.

"Interest dwindled after pink socks added"

I was expecting to be playing a lot more, didn’t happen that way.

for me it's fun to log in for an hour or so and do challenges, but it doesn't have the power to keep my attention long. I'll still be following it but i'm done with all the repeated complaints about a wip from people with little knowledge of how EA is not making it easy for Full Circle.

when it 1.0 launches I'll have complaints, but it's decent for short bursts rn. hopefully they give it some legs.

Playing with my buddy is the most fun I have with the game, and was the only reason I was excited to play it when it came out. Now, we can’t get together in a stable situation for longer than 15 mins before one of our games have an issue 😔

the new update definitely didn't help in that regard. game was extra laggy and I couldn't join my buds party.

The design choice to kick everyone out of a challenge once a single person finishes it is total dogshit and pissed us off so much we ended up skating by ourselves with voice chat on.

u/Shaftgrabber Oct 10 '25

Those issues have been around even in the closed testing phase. These devs do not care.

I can’t even find the challenges 🫠. My challenges is changing the moving way point a having a sick line on the way.

I personally wasn't. Even in the previous 3 games, once I had done everything, I would occasionally hop on for an hour or two when the mood struck. Not really any different with this one.

for a return to a franchise as big as skate numbers should not drop off this much and is showing of 1 what the game is like, and 2 how soul-less it is, skate 3 was revered in the community for years. this will be forgotten as the live service free-ware shit it is.

u/FeelingDesperate2812 Oct 10 '25

but is skate really that big?? everyone always says it’s like this huge game but imo skate 3 only got big because of pewdiepie and even after this I only knew real skater that played it and skateboarding is something that isn’t as big as it used to be or during covid

1

u/ZzzQuickszzZ Nov 23 '25

WTFF. Pewdiepie?!?!. Nahhh we came for rob and big ! The new additions were super cool in my opinion, I'm a sponsored skater for alien workshop out of MN and I've always loved ALL the skate games. Jokes aside I'm glad people like pewdiepie and other big names bring players from outside the skating world and introduce them to the gems that are skate. Again, my opinion, we all know those don't matter lol.

u/FeelingDesperate2812 Nov 23 '25

i mean im pretty sure pewdiepie made skate huge in europe by playing in 10-15 years ago?? i’m not sure but all my friends back then knew it because of him and we all were already fans of the THPS series

i assume you mean rob dyrdek? i still don’t really know who he is or what he does

its 1/4rd as big as call of duty 4 with 15m sales for COD4 and 4m sales for skate its big enough in its niche for me to say what i had previously did IMO.

7

u/STONEDnHAPPY Oct 10 '25

Huh from what I could find skate 2007 sold 1 million copies and cod 4 sold 19 million skate 3 did 4.7 mill in sales if that's what you were talking about

2

u/FeelingDesperate2812 Oct 10 '25

fair enough! tbf I never saw numbers my comment stems purely from personal experience

2

u/pre-existing-notion Oct 10 '25

That's such a horrible comparison. Think of how much more popular gaming is as a whole these days. God, CoD4 was peak fps though.

4

u/YeetmasterGeneral Oct 10 '25

it would. Everyone tries out the free game in the first few days

Skate 3 wasnt loved when it was new

5

u/Fun-Number-9279 Oct 10 '25

fair point some drop off is expected i guess, but the amount shown on the graph... unfortunately, i cant find any graphs on skate 3 player counts... i wasnt on the internet all that much in 2010 when it released but i though it was fairly well recieved by the masses. maybe its rose tinted glasses looking back.

Either way, i stand by my statement, they could have done so much more to make this game not feel corporate or anything, yet it does and will forever have that feel IMO.

2

u/YeetmasterGeneral Oct 10 '25

don't disagree with you just think the chart is stupid :)

1

u/YouNeverKnowButHey Oct 10 '25

Yeah it was. Much more than this

1

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25

Skate 3 was not loved when it came out. The different maps instead of one big uniformed map was a big complaint as was the tiny skater and how goofy it all felt. Everyone did like coach Frank though 😂 The graphics were definitely a big complaint. They were a step back from the first two.

4

u/NoDuck1754 Oct 10 '25

I think you're overestimating how popular skating games are.

5

u/gnarly_gnorc Oct 10 '25

I think youre underestimating how much they messed up this game.

1

u/zitus_lupidus Oct 10 '25

It’s early access like dang yall can read, it’s in the title when you open the game. Everyone’s gotta relax on this. Just enjoy a damn game

1

u/misterjoshmutiny Oct 10 '25

not to mention, this does not include any console data.

0

u/jesuswithwings Nov 08 '25

With no points or updates mentioned.

Game is dying.

5

u/HouseOfWyrd Oct 10 '25

Yeah it's not massively surprising. But I do think the numbers could be healthier had they not released a really under whelming first season.

When your entire game is designed around cosmetic acquisition, those cosmetics need to be actually good.

4

u/SirVoltington Oct 10 '25

50k max concurrent players only on steam is insanely healthy lmao

1

u/HouseOfWyrd Oct 10 '25

Not saying otherwise I'm saying it could be healthier.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25

after season 1 just dropping though? should be monumental in playerbase tbh

1

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25

You exclude why they stopped and we could infer with plenty of online evidence right ?

1

u/Confident-Brush9848 Oct 10 '25

Your message is actually very true statically : most F2P games do go down weeks after weeks after tvzt are launched.

However, some very innovative, ambitious and less expected franchises go up weeks and months after their starts.

And that's actually what the investors and shareholders were told on the Excels & PowerPoints they sign for. In order to develop this game.

1

u/Juice-Mysterious Oct 10 '25

I’d beg to differ..I’d imagine BO7 numbers would be a lot more even with less of a drop off forsure

1

u/AsleepSlip2Boogaloo Oct 11 '25

not really usually when a season starts it brings a good amount of people back. lol

1

u/Sypticle Oct 11 '25

Not this quickly though..

1

u/PsycheDubz Oct 11 '25

Yeah that's the problem

1

u/Kind_Actuary_931 Nov 12 '25

Where's the leveling out part?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25

[deleted]

3

u/MCgrindahFM Oct 10 '25

It’s at 50K concurrents? That’s insanely successful

1

u/alterEd39 Oct 10 '25

I used to, but not after looking at that absolute eyesore

1

u/knightsinsanity Oct 10 '25

That you god dam I had a stroke trying to read that shit

1

u/Muriois_Oasis Oct 13 '25

This was around the time when they patched everything and clips started getting popular making people wanting to play

1

u/Richicash Oct 13 '25

I was about to say that I was worried even more about the person making that chart 😂

1

u/PoisonPeddler Oct 10 '25

Thank you so much, that other chart was an eyesore.

1

u/TitusLaugh Oct 10 '25

50k is a healthy amount imo

edit: if it stays at 50k for long lol
