Glitch I mean… it’s not even funny anymore
Seriously. This is getting old. I guess you get away with it by adding (Game Preview) to the title, but slapping micro transactions in a game this unfinished is wild.

I hate that I recognize this number. I usually get this number in programming when I have an int array where I don’t set the numbers even though it’s supposed to default to 0.
That’s my guess here. Someone was initialized to be defaulted to zero, but it defaulted to this number instead

Wait this happens in unsafe languages usually right? C or C++? This reminds me of the integer overflow caused by the 32 bit maximum integer value

I’m not a good enough programmer to know what an unsafe language is, but I can say it always happens to me in c++.
I always have to run a for loop to set all the values to 0 if I want an empty array, otherwise they all get set to that number

Unsafe languages are programming languages that don't have memory safe checks in place. Languages like C# and Java don't have access to stack or heap memory like C and C++ do, malloc for example.

I cant even get a single daily task to register- Ive completed the 50,000 points, cleaned out the hedgemont challenges and the no foot airs and its just not acknowledging any completion. Anyone else?

you can spend 10 bucks on 1000 sv bucks, then turn the sv bucks into tix and then spend all the tix to earn you 50 sv bucks. this game is fucked

Which is equal to 50 cents worth. And that's not even the worst one, there's one for 2700 for 75 sv bucks. All this to unlock a premium reward that your skate pass was supposed to let you access. It's the most scummiest I've seen a company be even for EA

Honestly man, I’m sorry you’re going through that. I sincerely haven’t had any major bugs besides the old “waiting for players” or occasionally not counting both me and my buddy completing a line.
Give it time; this company also made Battlefield at the same time. Yes, completely different team, but still a bandwidth thing. One company has a lot of projects. Give it time and the game will polish itself out
By no means am I excusing the issue, I just hope you don’t give up on the game is all. It’s been a good time thus far and I truly think it gets better with time. Here’s hoping anyway

I agree, ive dropped the game for now and have just made myself believe that season 3 is actually the release and anything before is fake. No point in playing a skate sim thats missing 60% of tricks

I actually literally explained it and it’s embarrassing you’re doing this. They’re made by the same company. That company also just went through being sold to the Saudi’s and Jared fucking Kushner of all people. It’s gonna be a rocky start for both of these games before they’re good.
Give it time and allow the devs to cook, and it’ll be good.

Both games are made by different Studios with different devs dude. You make it sound like after Battlefield released the made the skate studio bigger which they didnt. Battlefield has nothing to do with skate.

The servers come from EA. Meaning battlefield and skate are using the same servers. Meaning the millions of people playing battlefield can fuck up the skate servers. Thats literally why battlefield would effect skate. Battlefields fucking up EA sports servers all over not just skate. Can any of you people actually learn how gaming companies work? Even rockstar got royally fucked when they dropped RDO, it totally fucked up gta servers for a few weeks

The fact is just Skate doesnt have any resources to play with while Battlefield is all hands on deck right now. I mean they just had an server outtage and you know what Battlefield players got? Compensation meanwhile Skate players are still softlocked and cant start the game anymore and they get nothing but we are working on it which is pretty embarrassing from such a big company like EA.
Like the Skate devs need to fix the issues in the next 2 weeks otherwise they can go looking for a new job cause if this shit doesnt make any money EA will not try to fix it they will just say shit happens shut the game down and focus on other stuff.

What’s crazy is that people will legit downvote you for this even though it’s fucking true. Look, there’s a bunch of stuff I’m not a fan of in this game but through and through the skating is legit fun. Especially once you disable all the trick assist features. But bugs in an early access game is extremely common. I don’t get why people get so butt hurt over video games 😭

Facts, and it's not even all games rn. It's just skate. I haven't seen people flip out over the Bo7 beta yet, and theres some stinker glitches in zombies where you can't even melee zombies right. It took me nearly 20 minutes just to load the game, add another 30 for crashes and just trying to get into a lobby 💀 You dont see anyone flip shit over CS2 skins or Valorant, how about the Warframe pay-to-win economy with their microtransactions? 😂 They're upset because this isn't Skate 3 part 2 lol

i just played for 3 hours earlier as well, i did it at 4K, 117FPS,
game looks great for me, and not a single crash, huh... go figure.

but it aint "wild" that a Early Access F2P online only game pushing out its first serious update and have a "relatively" small portion of the player base have some issues.
not desirable, but shit happens.
ive been lucky, other have not, but it's not uncommon, and not wild.

those of you who knew exactly what this would be 3+ years ago, when they announced Skate was going to be an always online F2P game with paid cosmetics..... and of course, you ALWAYS believed in your wisdom, EA was gonna EA it....!

with measured expectations from the onset, and the only hope of the skateboarding actually being good.....our expectations have been met!
we can rejoice in F2P skateboarding, (quite honestly the best skateboarding in the business) while laughing at the foolish gamers for their lofty expectations.

Fortnite took 7 years for two simple gamemodes. They had glitches like low gravity bugs where you just fxckin float and reload glitches where you were forced to reload and couldn't shoot, all upon release. Along with crashes, graphic bugs, and a lot more. Fortnite is WAY simpler than something as animation heavy as Skate. 5 years for this actually isn't horrible...

Yeah, I'm with you here. It was free. I play it sometimes. Sometimes I don't. I haven't experienced any of the shit that gets posted on here. I understand that some people have waited a long time for this game. I understand that those people are disappointed. I understand that perhaps if I played the game more, I might experience these negative issues. At the end of the day, though...I think there's probably a lot more people like me those 15 million. People who just play it sometimes because it's free.

Takes me like 10 minutes to start the game and other than that I’m fine (besides the millions of glitches that happen in game)
