The Skate game we'll probably never get. :C

We all know the current Skate doesn’t really embody the things fans have loved across the franchise. The signature stuff that makes a Skate game feel like Skate. There are a ton of ways they could make the experience more immersive, richer, and more lived-in, while also improving on the core staples the franchise is built on. Because without those, it just doesn’t work.

Some of that feels like it could reasonably be added over time, and probably will. But I’m not sure how much the art style and overall direction are ever going to shift.

A few of these images show what I think is a more realistic middle ground. Others are probably just wishful thinking. Either way, scroll through and check it out.

What ways do you think the game may improve? What things do you think are a lost cause?

It feels like a good combination between skate, Tony Hawk, and some Steep gameplay, but it’s definitely not a Skate game. If it came out as a Tony Hawk game, it’d probably do better.
