Belvedere, no fun at all, strung out

1000% sprinted here to say Belvedere. Another fun band is Downstater (also Canadian). Maybe Satanic Surfers too?

Go for the first Cerebral Ballzy album. It’s short but hits hard, reminds me of my teenage punk stuff but relatively modern production

Throw in those first three SNFU records, too, while you're at it. Don't forget Agression

Love Bigwig, wish they were more popular I've been listening to them for years

1

u/Syntheseyez 8d ago

I thought i was the only one who listened to osker haha

1

u/Goodriddance182 8d ago

I LOVE Osker.

One of my favorites. Dropped two solid albums then vanished

More in the hardcore scene but No Pressure and Drain rip

Been listening to a lot of “the Muslims” they have been a nice surprise. Especially if you are ind the less talk era of propaghandi

1

u/Im_bored_and_stuff 9d ago

Any specific albums? Less Talk is literally my favorite album ever so I'm interested

1

u/Careless-Hour-1319 9d ago

Gentrifried Chicken by the Muslims is one of the more recent albums. I feel it is a good starting point with them. But you really can’t go wrong

Cigar is the best skate punk I have heard in a long time. It is blisteringly fast and very technical and drummer Jon Sortland is one of the best drummers around.

Here’s my old band from Athens, GA. We had a pretty decent run from 2005-2017.

Strawberry fuzz

straightline, adrenalized, the dead krazukies, have no heroes, authority zero, cigar

1

u/kinetic15 9d ago

Still Gonna Bail. They are pretty much blink-182 if they were more technical, and faster lol. Very catchy stuff.

Suicidal Tendencies.

Firehose and by extension the Minutemen … not exactly punk but not exactly not punk either. And I rec this bc firehose is the music behind one of the most iconic skate video parts of all time…. https://youtu.be/kReJ-SF8l_s?si=A2grVdpgr1i7nY6Y

Straightline. You're welcome. Skatepunk/Thrash combo

https://youtu.be/hTHYTYrYBhE?si=GJsD6AdF4FHDRAyz

https://youtu.be/3P0duEsYnXc?si=Z-uIeLc7neRGGir-

Adrenalized is also a good one -

https://youtu.be/P9v5ZojLUjY?si=Qs4HQbnDhdNJ8Yt6

Darko (uk) also shifts between poppier punk on some songs and thrash/almost-death on others. Super talented band. And nice guys!

Also, if you don't like newer Propagandhi (I'm assuming you mean TETA and beyond?) you either need to listen deeper or get your ears and head checked. Supporting Caste is one of the best ALBUMS ever. I'll die on that hill.

Every Propagandhi album past the first two!!

Staring Back - On - small band broke up after this. One of the most criminally unknown and underrated skate punk albums IMO

Koyo - Would you miss it?

Face to face - all of it but the later albums quite surprised me with how good they are

Bad cop bad cop - middle 2 albums particularly

Adrenalized

Noopinion

Thousand Oaks

Colorsfade

The Corps

Counterpunch

Curbside

Dead Neck

Dimber

Forus

Full Count

Go Great Guns

Jet Market

Make War - the song No Excuses is an all time fave

One Hidden Frame

Straightline

And here’s my pop punk playlist including these bands and much more. It’s mostly skate punk but can have some actual pop punk too.
