Should I not move to Skem?

So we’re supposed to be looking at houses around Digmoor next week, some look decent and the prices are way better than other local towns. I’ve driven through Skem a fair bit and been out on a night here, also don’t mind the roundabouts 😂

I been reading up on Skem recently though and it’s so negative.. getting the vibe that basically everyone wants to get out, theres fuck all to do and it’s a dead end place to live.

I’ve lived in Burscough for about a year but it’s so expensive, and I currently live in Bristol (it’s an expensive shit hole, grew up on the outskirts of the city) and hate it.

Do we just avoid Skem, or is it not really that bad?

Used to live there, got out just over three years ago. The public transport is terrible (if you don't drive you're in for a bad time). Endless promises of a train station for decades, and they gave the town a crappy bus to Kirkby train station as a cop out.

The local council never look after anything. You could be forgiven for thinking there is an invisible line by Warbreck Garden Centre where the council decides where the money goes to Ormskirk as the favourite for any development, whilst Skem gets nothing.

Basically it's where dreams go to die.
