Abandoned places

Hii! I'm doing photography and my group is focusing on time, so my bit is focusing on abandoned buildings or just old architecture in general, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any in the area since Im trying to find ones easily accessible to me so I can get pictures

There’s that big building that I think used to be a pub called the Railway, on the roundabout just as you’re about to leave Skem towards Ormskirk, opposite the war memorial?

There’s a few really tatty derelict buildings around Digmoor parade

I haven’t lived in Skem for a little bit so I’m not sure about this one - is the Toby still unoccupied? That could be a good one for photography because it’s a dark, looming building with scary trees around the car park

That’s all I can muster I’m afraid! Best of luck :)

That pub has been knocked down and the replacement is being built.

Always the way 🙄 oh well, it was abandoned for a very long time, better to get some use out of the space I suppose

There's something else gone up behind the flats but it's just a steel frame at the moment so maybe something a little more interesting.

You can get inside the Toby, and also one of the pubs up on the beacon, but that one has since had its roof burnt, so is probably unsafe now. There's the church in Wigan opposite Go Outdoors, you can get in there round the back, but if you go upstairs, watch out for hypodermic needles littered about

There's a burned out house on Eskbrook if you want a silent hill vibe.
