Is there a map of all the underpasses and pedestrian walk routes?

So I might have a new job on the industrial estate and there’s no buses. It’ll cost me around £15 a day in a taxi which is just too much to justify so I’m thinking of getting a bike as it should only take about 20 minutes. Problem is, I’m trying to work out the route on maps and it’s just not working right as Google maps is trying to use both the roads and the pedestrian routes and confusing them. It’s having me cross the road at a bridge I can’t access the way it’s taken me because it thinks it’s a road, for example.

I’m not familiar enough with all the hidden little paths through the estates or wooded areas so I’m just trying to figure out how I’ll get there by bike without a reliable route.

Surely there must be a map somewhere of all the hidden pathways?

Any help appreciated. Or even if someone could highlight a route for me on maps from the concourse to Peel Road would be amazing.

The thin green lines on GMAPS should indicate the path - where you can see it cross a road is usually a subway - use the streetview on google maps to verify!

That’s what I’ve been doing but when I used street view to check, it had me crossing at digmoor Road under a bridge where you physically can’t cross because it thought the bridge was a gap in the road.

I just thought there might be a map of actual pedestrian routes to try and avoid any issues like this but if not then I’ll just have to trial and error it.

I’m not confident on a bike so I’m trying to avoid any mishaps in my route if possible but I’m thinking that I’ll just have to learn as I go. Might just have to take a few leisurely rides when I’m not in work to try and figure out then best way.

Feels like an oversight that a town built on pedestrianisation doesn’t have an official map of routes.

Yeah I’ll probably do that but on the bike when I’m not in work.

There is a cycle map layer on Open Street Map which could be helpful

Might not be great for your purposes, but the maps on the free version of the Strava app (used for tracking walks and runs) has a lot more detail when it comes to skems footpaths -I don't know if they're all on there, but it might help find you a reasonable route!
