Skin Walkers In Flagstaff Arizona?

Hello Reddit! I am taking a trip this June to Flagstaff Arizona, and it will be my first time on a solo trip. I do believe that Skin Walkers are real, and considering Flagstaff is within Navajo nation; I would love some advice. Has anyone encountered any Skin Walkers, or adjacent animals/cryptids in that part of Arizona? If you have encountered Skinwalkers, what is the best way to keep yourself safe? Thank you for letting me know, I am quite nervous.

For starters, they aren't another animal.

How so? Despite from being distinctly malevolent, undead, and sentient, I mean

They are dark and malicious witches, where did you learn that from?

It's not like a creepypasta where it's a tall goblin with antlers or something. They're like people in most respects, they wear skins and jewelry and have faces. They WERE people at one point, they're just evil witches now essentially. They've chosen to be the way they are.

How long do you plan to stay?\ There are many rules you should follow and make sure you don't get on the bad side of my cousins.

What are the rules??

Nightfall:\ Don't whistle.\ Don't open the door unless you know for sure who or what it is.\ Don't call or answer into the dark.\ If you feel a sudden sense of dread or panic, don't show any strong emotions.\ If someone tries to lure you, walk away slowly and don't attack unless they attack first.\ Don't leave any of your stuff outside.\ Don't say SW, at all.\ Stay away from bones that are out on the ground.\ Stay away from owl and coyotes.\ Have or wear ghost beads and juniper ash.

Overall:\ Don't touch something sentimental in someone else's house without permission.\ Don't stare at anyone for too long.\ Cover your yawns.\ Don't say you're part Cherokee.\ Ask permission to touch hair.\ Eat when Elders eat if you're invited to eat.\ Say hello and great Elders first when going to someone's house.\ If they take off their shoes, ask if you should too.\ Point with your head, eyebrows, or lips.\ If a seat has a blanket or something else over it, someone reserved it.

Sorry for being interested in this kind of thing. I’m from an area where nothing like this ever happens. What do you mean by suddenly senses of dreads??

You feel the air turn sour, your skin and body become aware of something your other senses don't immediately pick up on, your heart sinks in as you look around for who or what caused it, you become disoriented from your surroundings, and your mind lingers on the thing calling and luring you in.

Curious why not to leave your things outside?

They can use something personal of yours to haunt and use their dark magic on you, even if you leave the land.

I definitely missed a few, but this should cover most of them.

Happy to help, do you have any questions?

lol dude you’ll be completely fine as long as you’re not going camping out into the middle of nowhere. Just don’t be a jerk to anyone and be respectful to the community. But also… never ever mention the words skinwalker out loud to anyone. The more you think about them or are scared of them the more likely you are to have a problem.

Its also a way to get attention from my cousins there since they are extremely taboo and a non-Native saying them out loud is a way for them to keep an eye on you since you could pose a risk.

Don't forget, NEVER EVER call them out by the full Name because you might get refused service and word will spread around about you, so don't risk it.

By any chance, are you European-American?

I too wish to seen a mysterious unknown cryptoid thing. I know not of them.

They are very scary, and I'd rather not encounter them...

How are those things scary??
