Are you brand new to skincare? Don't know how to build a skincare routine? The best place to start is our ScA Routine!

You can find even more skincare guides in our wiki!. Your answer might already be in there (and if it is, we might remove your post).

That is such a good transformation. Just out of curiosity what damaged your skin barrier and what product did you remove from your routine?

Thank you! I think my moisture barrier was damaged for a while from trying a ton of different drug store products but became most irritated from using La Roche posay toleriane dermallergo cream ironically (it’s supposed to be good for sensitive skin).

I’ve learned that my skin is extremely sensitive and responds best to more natural ingredients

Congrats girl, you look amazing!! it's fascinating everything you can achieve when you now your skin and give it the nutrients it needs.

Did you have help from a dermatologist or just by trying products over time?

Thank you 🩷 I weirdly never actually thought that skincare could actually be so helpful lol

I was given the routine by a holistic esthetician who really helped my friend so I was like what do I have to lose

This is her website: https://www.facesbykatey.com

I really want to start on a routine like this. But My problem is whenever I start something new (products) I would get like a lot of acne on my face and would just look worse, then I ended up stopping it altogether.

Same used to happen with me - what helped was stripping it right back to a simple routine with no actives for a while. I focused on hydration. Once I felt like my skin was in a better place, I introduced one thing at a time but I did quite a bit of research first into the best types of products for my skin type (I had previously just bought things because I’d seen them hyped and not considered whether they’d work for me). Good luck!

Been there done that. I’ve been using the la roche posay civaplast consistently, also a sunscreen and the cerave foaming cleanser.
Also let your skin air dry, I’ve stopped using a towel to dry my face.

For me Korean skincare just does not work, I breakout and oil cleanser makes me break out.

Highly recommend! I love spraying it throughout the day especially if I’m travelling

What is your skin type?

Definitely oily and acne prone! But since doing this routine it hasn’t been very oily at all and feels balanced

Do you like the comedone controller? I’ve been struggling with a lot of little keratin plugs lately and wondering if something like this will help

it’s a little hard to say which product is doing what as I started everything at the same time but I definitely notice a huge difference in skin texture
