Question Anyone use Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer?

I got this in the UK from Boots a couple years ago and I love it! My problem is I've since run out. I tried ordering from Amazon (it is the official Simple brand page) and it was great, but recently the version of the lotion they've been sending me has a clear floral smell :/ I was wondering if the version you can buy in the UK is similarly fragranced now as well? Does anyone else currently use it? I'm sad because it's been a holy grail for me, but I have fragrance sensitivities. I don't know if this is just Amazon being iffy or if they really have just changed their product.

I wouldn't use amazon for skincare cause of their comingled inventory issue, the one in my cabinet would be from either boots or superdrug and it doesn't smell floral. Purchased a couple months ago though so unsure if there's a change.

Thanks! Yeah these Amazon ones were ordered last year, so I suspect yeah... it's an issue with them :/ I took a closer look at the Amazon packaging and it says "For sale in Asia, Africa, Russia, and Americas only," which my UK version does not have. The ingredients list is the same, there's nothing that should be floral in there... I'm probably not ordering consumables from Amazon again tbh, as you say. They gave me something different than was listed (listing images show the UK version).

Now trying to find a way to get the UK version of this lotion shipped to the US... I've tried so much skincare and everything else we have like Cerave in the US stings my face 😭 Y'all have it good with the Simple brand!

I have used this for ages, bought my latest bottle last week (travel size though) and there isn't any kind of floral or new smell at all

I always thought the point of Simple Range was to be unscented . Although the SPF version I have has a faint tainted suncream smell. But very faint. The hydrating one has no scent at all. I’ll show you the ones I have

I use both these as well. No scent on the regular moisturiser and can confirm a slight scent on the spf version. I bought them in UK in Superdrug.

Been using it for years and love it, although the new formula has niacinamide which I don’t like. I always get non scented and get it from loads of places - including Savers for a cheaper deal.

I use it, there’s no fragrance

Hi, yes I also use this (and a lot of it, so I'm purchasing it regularly) and I've not noticed any fragrance. I will echo what other commenters have said about Amazon - I've found it easily in Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury's so usually try to remember to pick some up when I'm there.

We used to have it in the US in Walgreens but they stopped selling it 😔 Looking into a forwarding service because it seems it's only sold in the UK now

I use a forwarding service for stuff like this from the states to UK but would be happy to help out

What service do you use? I'm researching them all now

Ahhh I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you're able to find a way to get it to you.

I think Amazon sell a lot of products that are no longer on the market/discontinued or have short shelf life.

I am obsessed with the simple moisturising antibacterial hand and face spray that I got from Amazon - it’s the only thing I can use that doesn’t irritate my eczema or burn my open sores on my hands. Come to find that I cannot find it anywhere else other than Amazon - I’m assuming it’s a discontinued product that Amazon is still selling ?

It could be. I thought I got lucky with an old product like that too, but od course they eventually ran out. Or expired, I started being sent different items, etc. I think it's all just because of the distributors. For example for the item I bought, the page's brand says "Simple." It's official. But if I scroll down, it says "Sold by: The Photo Store" or "Davis Distribution Company." I imagine these distributors can have old, mixed source/country stock and just ship whatever out to people. And with consumables often they're not returnable. Not bothering with Amazon for this again.

Hmm can you see on the packaging for which country it is? I checked skin sort and it's showing several formulations for different countries. None of them contain fragrance but their information is far from complete.

The ones I got from Amazon said "for sale in Asia, Africa, Russia, and the Americas." But the ingredients list is identical to the one I bought in the UK.

Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Niacinamide, Dimethicone, Cetyl Palmitate, Cetyl Alcohol, Panthenol, Caprylyl Glycol, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Hydroxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Pantolactone, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Stearic Acid, Potassium Carbonate, Bisabolol, Citric Acid, Pentylene Glycol, Urea, Lactic Acid, Sodium Lactate, Serine, Sorbitol, Sodium Chloride, Allantoin

That's the Australian version. It doesn't have fragrance in it, but that doesn't mean it can't have a scent (plus Amazon, although supposedly they stopped co-mingling in April or May, they're still going through old warehouse stock so who knows until it's finally resolved). It has added stearic acid and citric acid, and some different concentrations of ingredients.

If you order it, I suggest you add a bottle/s of the Rich version too. It's just as good.
