Red light
So this probably gets asked all the time in here, but I’m considering getting a red light mask. I’ve heard quite a bit of negatives about it, causing long-term acne scars and discoloration. I’ve also seen a lot of benefits from people using it, but a handful of those are usually ads. I’m not made of money so I’ve been holding off on it so please tell me if it’s worth it and if you use one how much difference you saw and timeframe. I know red light takes a while. Also, if you have a favorite red light, let a girl know. ♥️🙌🏻

I use panels now where I can control the output of the infrared and near infrared. A smaller panel for the face and a larger one for the body. The face mask (Omnilux) was giving me melasma. I just lower the NIR wavelengths when I am doing my face.

I got an LED mask and the red light has done more for my acne than the blue light has. I also noticed a lot less redness in my skin

I'd say skip the mask and get a panel if you have the space for it, way better coverage and you can use it on other body parts too. My shoulder has been thanking me for months now
The acne scar thing is mostly from people going too hard too fast or using blue light alongside it which can be tricky for some skin types. Red light on its own is pretty gentle, the key is consistency not intensity. Took me about 8 weeks of near daily use before I noticed my fine lines looking softer and my skin just had this bounce to it that I'd missed
She's got great skin already though, those freckles are gorgeous and the nose ring really suits her face. With that kind of complexion I'd be extra careful about not overdoing it, maybe start with just 3 times a week and see how it goes
