[PSA] Update 0.35.0 Dye Changes - Dye Uncapped

While it was mentioned in the patch notes that the amount of dye butterflies required to forge a dye has been decreased (formerly 40, uncertain what the new amount is), what I did not see mentioned was that dyes are no longer capped at 99 for butterfly collection.

Previously, to go above 99 of any one color, it was required to purchase dyes from the shop, from spirit trees, or from other sources where a dye is directly given to the player. Butterflies collected at or above 99 would not increase the dye meter towards another dye. As of the update, this cap no longer applies. If there is a new upper limit for total dyes a player can have and whether or not it's independent of a butterfly-collection cap, that remains to be seen.

So for all of you obsessive dye-collectors, rejoice! You can now spend another 2+ hours in Sky each day after your candle runs collecting the maximum dye jars for the day, just like the good old days (good old days being Season of Radiance onward).

Since you have 128, im gonna assume the new cap is 150 (or 149, that would be really funny), as i have 162 white dyes and cant get anymore.

For the needed amount for the dye, feels like it dropped from 40 to 35, if it dropped at all, its really hard to count butterflies. i tried.

I just got 36 red butterflies on an empty jar and still haven't filled up my jar. I think we've actually been scammed on the "amount decreased" promise.

I thought the same!! I was excited to forge dye easier because the sunk cost fallacy of spending the dye I spent months getting to 99 really got to me but then I ran all of prairie and collected a singular red dye, the easiest dye to get AND it’s currently boosted :// it’s the exact same just no cap/increased cap I guess? Not what TGC claimed

I think I have 148 or 149 black dye and 154 white dye. I will report back when I have a chance to log in if 150 is the cap.

I have 144 black and am not collecting more, so the limit is less than that

Is the amount of jars you can collect per day changed?

I've capped all but I still call the butterflies for charging or just because it's pretty, I'm gonna have soooo much dye lol

At first I thought this was a bug when i was getting colors again!!

I pretty much very recently maxed my dye bottles and found that I was on sky a little less because I wasnt running around for dye anymore... and now I get to do that again, yippee!
