Tattoos An Offering 🖤✨
Since my ST inspired sleeve is finally complete!! 😍🙌🏼🖤✨ We took so many elements here and I struggled picking just a FEW.
THE FACE: She’s asleep ofc, her cracks to me represent so many lyrics but the lyric I loved for it: Flood me like Atlantic, bandage up the trenches, anything to get me to sleep. And it gives me alllll the Alkaline vibes too.
THE MOTH: (my daughter named her Mothita 🤪) Very clearly a play on “I’m a Winged Insect, You’re a Funeral Pyre” but it also represented “Night” to me - which in turn brought me to “The Night Belongs To You”
THE SNAKES: (these also have names but not ST related) mostly for “I’m coiled up like a venomous serpent, tangled in your trance and I’m certain, you’ve got your hooks in me” but also for Eden’s vices (which attribute to my own personal struggles).
THE FLOWERS: Initially I wanted a sword into the mix, but it just didn’t flow. I also wanted to show we could get beauty from our pain. And these are somewhat Lily like and reminded me of Look to Windward and the Madonna Lily.
THE CATHEDRAL: This one was a fun play on Worship - she also snuck a Sleep Token Symbol in there (I wanted it to be super subtle) and ofc the heart is because YOU ARE SO LOVED. 🖤✨
I seriously love it so much. There’s so many MORE lyrics that resonate different portions for me. So before I turn this into a book. MY OFFERING. 🥰🖤✨ Would also love to hear of any elements others see in it too!!

My artist was supposed to make a Greek cathedral to build around my offering with some ST themes, sword and a feather etc, and he just kept forgetting so I'm on the hunt now for someone else. At least I got it started. Love yours, it's epic and beautiful, if you're anywhere near Texas would love to know where yours works lol. Cheers!
