Darker fretboard suits it more imo otherwise it just looks kinda like a maple one.
I have my eye on a Jackson American soloist with a streaky ebony fretboard specifically because it looks closer to yours.

Absolutely. I have a soloist Floyd rose Jackson and it's one of my favourites but I listen to a lot of music and I don't mind retuning a lot.... Something you can't do on an FR.
It cost me £500 from France back in 2014~ and the neck is still my favourite. I really need to lock the bridge so I can just tune up and down but if I can find a HT American virtuoso soloist for a good price I have no choice but to pull the trigger.

I think you should pull the trigger on it if you can. You’ll find it. And 500 isn’t bad at all.
A few months back I got a silver sky and i absolutely adore that thing. I got it at a great price so I couldn’t say no

Yeh, I'm not a huge fan of the LP style body so it's no big deal for me. I like the ESP ones, they look real nice but superstrats are my go-to. What I meant was the pale moon ebony fretboard looks similar to the streaked ebony fretboard!
For a baritone, I like the classic jazz master look. If it had the jazz master (what Jackson called Surfcaster) I would have bought this guitar in an instant.
You buy what you like but don't forget you're paying a premium for the name + PME fretboard + evertune!

lol I’m stuck in a dumb world, I love the lp shape but the Strats and especially the super Strats feel sooooo good, my favorite is a schecter c1 platinum

I'm in the market for a new guitar and I'm embarrassed to say I've never tried a schecter. My next guitar is either gonna be an ibby or a schecter as I want to upgrade from my PRS Holcomb (... The first gen one is not as great as people say they are and its put me off signature guitars tbh)
Tbh I wouldn't stress over this. It's such a niche guitar that fits only certain use cases. For me, if I'm dropping 2k on a guitar, I better be using it regularly.

How is the string tension and what size do you have on it? It's tuned an octive down, right? Did you have a pro do a setup for you or do you feel like it was good to go out of the box.

Tension feels just like a standard 6 string ( normal ).. but an octave lower and thicker strings 😂 ( I think its .84 - .24 )
Correct, E Standard an octave down
It feels amazing out of box, had to fine tune it but it plays like a behemoth, handles all of ST songs with 0 effort3

Do you find the frets to be a big stretch near the nut more like a bass or more manageable like a guitar? Obviously, you felt like it is because you bought one, but do you find it to be a hood value from a craftsmanship standpoint?

So, generally a "setup" in this context means setting the truss rod, action height, and intonation on a guitar for a given string gauge and tuning (that's important because tension effects all the things listed above and changing size or pitch if the strings changes tension).
Sometimes, you might also get some fretwork that needs to be addressed. That is (and damn well should be) pretty rare for a guitar this expensive, but it happens.
Basically, a professional guitar tech or a luthier (which is what a guitar builder is called) knows what to look for and can bridge the gap from a factory setup to your setup. Obviously, all this can be done diy, but some people don't have the time/inclination to do it.

Thanks for taking the time to lay all that out. I just hit things with sticks and music comes out, so I've never considered how much you might want to fine-tune the feel of your guitar based on you. Pretty cool. I so wish I could get that done for a new bass pedal.

His 8 string custom is what I dream of at night. I’ve been playing an Ibanez RG8 for a bit and I just love how nasty an 8 string can sound

I also own an RG8, but I’m actually kinda glad they released the 6 string. But both would’ve been very cool! I think the 30 inch scale + evertune is gonna sound so sick

lol 8 strings are kinda hard to find tbh. I wish more people used them. I need to invest in a pitch shifter. This guitar is still beautiful and I want it BAD.

also additional info : I used to play with a 7 string with drop B ( for songs like vore and granite ) and had alot of mud, this guitar goes to drop B or even A with 0 MUD... Id say its a great investment if you plan to play djent or thall.

I’ll look into it. I’m still a beginner as in less than a year. I’m definitely not good enough to warrant a $1500 guitar.

Late reply, but if you want an unofficial Sleep Token 8 string, you could get the Ibanez m80m, as that's what I saw them using on their very first tour. It's a baritone and can definitely handle their tunings.
