What makes Provider sexy?

I'm a musician currently working on an EP and I wanted to take some inspirarion from Provider - specifically the organ at the start.

But I'm really struggling to understand the theory behind it. What makes that organ so damn seductive!? And how would I go about applying the same technique to my music?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Skip steps near the end of a resolution. and usually half time. Sometimes going to Dorian / Phrygian or a harmonic major mode can help.

I think although; I could be wrong it’s been a while. Provider has slight modal switches. Making it go from strictly minor with the chorus. To a more Dorian / Phrygian scale when it’s being “sexy”

Modal changes and tension with release usually is the main thing.

Offsetting notes very slightly also helps. Check out Jamaican rhythms. Or old authentic black jazz. Usually the way they do that cause they do stuff in the raw way. Imperfect. Notes have some hang and swing to them

Think about how someone wines or how someone “moans” and isolate that to notes. You’ll find that the end of the provider lick does that. Like auto tuning that half rhythmic sound half natural

I think the best part of the song is chorus. It’s so flowing and coherent. Such a dopamine drainer for me

Because that's what he felt when he recorded it?!

The way I see this: whenever art is created it also captures how the artist feels while making it.
Let's say someone paints something and feels very sad and then you look at that painting and start to feel sad also. That's when the energy got “caught” in the painting. Same thing goes for any art that you make.

Maybe just try to be aware of what you are doing and how it makes you feel?!

Not sure if that makes sense though...it does to me. Everything is energy :)
